McDonald's Metal Pole Fight - Cashier Beats Unruly Customers (VIDEO)

Saturday, October 15, 2011 0 comments
New York (VIA) -- A cashier at a New York fast food restaurant has been charged with felony assault for beating two unruly customers with a metal object during an argument, after cell phone video captured a scene in which one customer climbs across the counter in an apparent attempt to reach the store employee. The women remain hospitalized in serious condition, police said. The incident occurred at a McDonald's on West 3rd Street about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. The two 24-year-old women entered the store, placed their order and then began arguing with the cashier, 31-year-old Rayon McIntosh, police said.

CNN affiliate WCBS said the altercation began when the cashier questioned a $50 bill the women gave him. They responded by hurling obscenities at him. A cell phone video shows how the situation quickly escalated. One of the women curses at the cashier, then reaches over and slaps his face. The woman then climbs over the counter, sending the cashier running toward the kitchen area. The other woman walks around to join her friend. The cashier then suddenly reappears with what police described as a metal object and repeatedly hits the women. Restaurant patrons scream for him to stop, while other employees try to intervene.

The video, one minute and 10 seconds long, shows the cashier hitting the women 10 times as they lay on the floor. "Stop! Stop!" one woman screams. "Stop it! Call the cops!" The cashier would pause and begin again every time the women tried to get up. The two women suffered lacerations to their head and face and were taken to a hospital, police said. One of the women suffered a fractured skull and a broken arm,
according to a complaint filed by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Authorities identified them as Denise Darbeau and Rachael Edwards, and charged them with menacing, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. McIntosh is currently being held at the Manhattan Detention Complex on $40,000 bail. His next court date is set for October 18. The franchise owner Carmen Paulino told CNN affiliate WABC that McIntosh no longer works at the restaurant. "I am extremely disturbed by the events captured on tape and am concerned for those injured," Paulino said. "The actions of this individual are unacceptable and not characteristic of my employees."

McDonald's also released a statement, saying the franchisee is cooperating with the investigation. "The violence in this video is alarming and reprehensible," it said.

Here is some BACKGROUND on what happened at the popular McDonalds in NYC, on 6th avenue and 3rd Street:
The drama began about 12:30 a.m. Thursday when the two customers — Denise Darbeau, 24, of Queens, and her pal, Rachel Edwards, 24, of Brooklyn — entered the popular fast food spot, near Sixth Avenue, and began giving McIntosh a hard time, police sources said.
In the video, Darbeau, 24, of Queens, is clearly heard cursing at McIntosh after the cashier told her he had to scan a $50 bill to make sure it was authentic before he would give them their food.
That's when all hell breaks loose.
An agitated Darbeau is seen slapping McIntosh across the face, prompting him to lunge forward and shove the two women.
Darbeau leaps onto the counter and clears the other side while Edwards retreats to the other end of the restaurant, according to the video. Suddenly, McIntosh reappears on the video, brandishing a metal rod, which he slams onto Darbeau's head.
The video, which has audio, is peppered with patrons screaming and wailing in horror and the chilling sound of the metal rod repeatedly whipping through the air and hitting Darbeau and Edwards. "Stop it! Stop! Stop! Oh my God!” one woman is heard screaming. “Someone call police!”
Fellow workers can be seen on the video unsuccessfully trying to restrain McIntosh. Sources say McIntosh ordered his assailants to stay down, and belted them each time they tried to get up. The continued beating is partially hidden from the camera by the counter.
The two women were taken to the hospital. Darbeau suffered a fractured skull and broken arm which required surgery, according to court documents. She is in stable condition. Edwards suffered a deep cut.
And they picked the WRONG DUDE to mess with. Here's some background on dude:
McIntosh served more than a decade in prison after being convicted of shooting and killing Oshan Litchmore, 17, a classmate at Bronx's Evander Childs High School in 2000, when he was only 19 years old. The two teens were outside Macy’s at the Galleria Mall in Westchester when they got into an argument.
The fatal bullet passed through Litchmore and hit an 8-year-old passerby in the leg.
McIntosh, who presently lives in the Bronx, was sentenced to 10 to 12 1/2 years in prison. He was paroled last March and has been working in the Village McDonald's since then, according to police sources. McIntosh is due back in court Oct. 18.

Beyonce's Prosthetic Baby Bump Folds And Collapses On Sunday Night HD (VIDEO)

Monday, October 10, 2011 0 comments
Is Beyonce actually pregnant? Last night on Sunday Night HD, Beyonce's (PROSTHETIC?!?!?!) baby bump seemed to FOLD in on itself when she bent over.

CONSPIRACY? SOUND THE ALARMS? GAME OVER? FAIL? BUSTED?

Beyonce's Prosthetic Baby Bump Folds And Collapses On Sunday Night HD (VIDEO)

In the video watch the belly bend 55 secs in
and then watch her give the “holy shAt, I hope you didn't see that” look. That's definitely a prosthetic.

Beyonce's Prosthetic Baby Bump Folds And Collapses On Sunday Night HD (VIDEO)

Not a great day for Beyonce today. She is also being accused of stealing dance moves from a Belgian dance choreographer, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, for her new music video for the song "Countdown."

According to the choreographer, Beyonce has stolen moves from not just one but two of her choreographies: Rosas danst Rosas, and Achterland.

Keersmaeker is definitely not pleased with this situation.

The new Beyoncé-clip "Countdown" shows some striking resemblance with movies from Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Judge for yourself.

Nobody Can Predict The Moment Of Revolution #OccupyWallStreet (VIDEO)

Thursday, October 6, 2011 0 comments
Up Close And Personal With Occupy Wall Street. This amazing documentary, “Nobody Can Predict the Moment of Revolution,” is less than ten minutes long and completely eye-opening to the reasons and many faces behind the movement. Watch it, and participate in #OccupyWallStreet today.

The video was shot during the 5th and 6th day of the occupation.

This idea to occupy the financial district in New York City was inspired by recent uprisings in Spain, Greece, Egypt, and Tunisia
which most of us were following online.

Despite of the corporate media's effort to silence the protests, and Yahoo's attempt to to censor it in e-mail communication,
the occupation is growing in numbers and spreading to other cities in the US and abroad.

Please forward our video to likeminded people via email, facebook, twitter - and make the voices of dissent circulate.

Never airs it.

HO. LY. SHAT. I'm watching this at least 20 more times. Of course Fox News wouldn't air this--it's an intelligent and well-articulated point. Of course they didn't air it. It's got rationality, responsibility, compassion, and authenticity. Focks News doesn't do that sort of thing.

Wall Street Mocks Protesters By Drinking Champagne During The Occupy Wall Street Protests (VIDEO)

Wall Street has shown Americans how they feel about the protests with this recent video. The video shows unidentified occupants watching protesters from the balconies of Wall Street in amusement while sipping champagne.

ABC News reports in their story titled "Occupy Wall Street Protesters Meet Champagne Sippers" the location as Cipriani 55: The well-dressed guests at the restaurant, Cipriani 55, were in sharp contrast to the protesters holding signs and chanting below. The restaurant is associated with Cipriani Club Residences’ luxury apartments at the same address, 55 Wall Street.

"US Day of Rage"

Demonstrations began on September 17 to show U.S. citizens anger over a financial system that favors the rich over all other American citizens. Chanting, "We are 99 percent," thousands of protesters gathered near Zucotti Park, close to Wall Street and began their march. Around 5 pm, while attempting to enter the financial district at 55 Wall Street, they were met by curious onlookers from the balconies who were leisurely watching the protesters and doing the unthinkable--drinking champagne.

55 Wall Street

Who occupies 55 Wall Street? The sprawling, historic Manhattan building is home to the Ciprion Club Residences, a private club as well as residence to Wall Street's élite.

Gathered on the balconies of this home of the rich, men in suits and tuxedos as well as women in silk dresses and business suits, casually sipped on their glasses while smiling and taking pictures, seemingly oblivious to the fight of the 99 percent.

The club has a total of 106 residences (living quarters) and their website asserts, "The club will provide you with everything essential to live the good life."

For onlookers "the good life" is a far different cry then that of the remaining 99 percent.

Essential to most Americans is food, shelter, and a job, they don't have time to dress up and sip champagne while their friends and neighbors get arrested for speaking their minds on a public street. (© Christine Dantz 2011)

Bullying Victim 14-Years-Old Jamey Rodemeyer Commits Suicide (VIDEO)

Thursday, September 22, 2011 0 comments

Jamey Rodemeyer was 14-years-old and a victim of constant bullying. A few months ago he posted a beautiful, tearful “It Gets Better” video, but his time at school had not improved since its release. He committed suicide earlier this week. Remember if you or someone you know is struggling and feeling suicidal there are options at your disposal. Go to TheTrevorProject.org for more information.

Okay. For everyone who has "dissed" Jamey, do you know how he felt before this happened? Have you every felt left out or like you don't fit in? Just because someone is different or has different views is not a big deal. If someone were to tell you you're stupid because of what you believe, you'd be upset too, wouldn't you? Don't "hate" on him because he was different. Mind your own business, let people live their lives and live you're OWN life the way you want to. Live to love. As long as you're happy.

Anderson Cooper summarizes the 14 year old’s struggle with intensely painful bullying, which ultimately led to his suicide. More importantly, he highlights anti-gay activists’ denial of such harassment, and insists that they be held accountable for their part in such tragedies.

Anderson Cooper talks with bullying experts Rosalind Wiseman & Rachel Simmons.

Gay Soldier Finally Comes Out Tells Dad He's Gay (VIDEO)

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 0 comments
21-year old, Randy Phillips, under his handle “AreYouSurprised,” calls his father to tell him — as the video description says — “the hardest thing that gay guys will ever have to say.”

“You promise you’ll always love me? Period?” he asks his father, his voice shaking.

He takes a beat, and then says it: “Dad, I’m gay. I always have been. I’ve known for … forever.”

Randy Phillips has been posting videos since April, but his account first drew real attention when he posted a video of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Angie Johnson and "Sidewinder" of the U.S. Air Forces Central Command Band performing Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," a cover that was posted on August 8th and has now been seen upwards of 1.5 million times:

AreYouSuprised was described as "anonymous" in the press when the video was being circulated as all of his other videos were vlogs about his self-described experiences being gay in the military. Nearly all the videos are shot from the neck down, and here AreYouSuprised openly discusses his thoughts about hiding his identity.

Today marked the official end of the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, and AreYouSuprised posted a video he recorded calling his father to reveal his sexuality.

Before DADT Repeal, Gay Soldier Comes Out on YouTube

The video, which was filmed early this morning Germany-time, became one of today's top Trending Videos and is quickly drawing tens of thousands of views.

Update #15Sat, 24 Sep 2011 07:46:42 GMT

NASA’s decommissioned Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite fell back to Earth between 11:23 p.m. EDT Friday, Sept. 23 and 1:09 a.m. EDT Sept. 24. The Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California said the satellite penetrated the atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean. The precise re-entry time and location are not yet known with certainty.

Update #14Sat, 24 Sep 2011 07:16:50 GMT

NASA’s decommissioned Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite fell back to Earth between 11:23 p.m. EDT Friday, Sept. 23 and 1:09 a.m. EDT Sept. 24. The satellite was passing eastward over Canada and Africa as well as vast portions of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans during that period. The precise re-entry time and location are not yet known with certainty.

Update #13Sat, 24 Sep 2011 04:55:17 GMT

As of 10:30 p.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 85 miles by 90 miles (135 km by 140 km). Re-entry was expected between 11:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 12:45 a.m., Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time (3:45 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. GMT). During that time period, the satellite was passing over Canada and Africa, as well as vast areas of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. The risk to public safety was very remote. NASA is working to confirm the re-entry location and time and will provide an update shortly.

Update #12Sat, 24 Sep 2011 02:50:07 GMT

As of 10:30 p.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 85 miles by 90 miles (135 km by 140 km). Re-entry is expected between 11:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 12:45 a.m., Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time (3:45 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. GMT). During that time period, the satellite will be passing over Canada and Africa, as well as vast areas of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. The risk to public safety is very remote.

Update #11Fri, 23 Sep 2011 23:30:46 GMT

As of 7 p.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 90 miles by 95 miles (145 km by 150 km). Re-entry is expected between 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 3 a.m., Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time (3 a.m. to 7 a.m. GMT). During that time period, the satellite will be passing over Canada, Africa and Australia, as well as vast areas of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. The risk to public safety is very remote.

Update #10Fri, 23 Sep 2011 14:45:08 GMT

As of 10:30 a.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 100 miles by 105 miles (160 km by 170 km). Re-entry is expected late Friday, Sept. 23, or early Saturday, Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time. Solar activity is no longer the major factor in the satellite’s rate of descent. The satellite’s orientation or configuration apparently has changed, and that is now slowing its descent. There is a low probability any debris that survives re-entry will land in the United States, but the possibility cannot be discounted because of this changing rate of descent. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 12 to 18 hours.

UPDATE #9 Thursday, September 22, 2011 10:01 PM EDT
As of 9:30 p.m. EDT Sept. 22, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 110 mi by 115 mi (175 km by 185 km). Re-entry is possible sometime during the afternoon or early evening of Sept. 23, Eastern Daylight Time. The satellite will not be passing over North America during that time period. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any more certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 24 hours.

UPDATE #8 Thursday, September 22, 2011 07:44 AM EDT
You can receive UARS Mission Updates via RSS
As of 7 a.m. EDT Sept. 22, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 115 mi by 120 mi (185 km by 195 km). Re-entry is expected sometime during the afternoon of Sept. 23, Eastern Daylight Time. The satellite will not be passing over North America during that time period. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any more certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 24 to 36 hours.
Veteran French astrophotographer Thierry Legault has already seen it, using a 14-inch telescope. The ghostly video clip above shows the UARS satellite tumbling at an altitude of 155 miles (250 kilometers) on Sept. 15.

Today's forecast has the satellite making a fiery final fall on Friday, plus or minus one day. An estimated two dozen pieces of debris, including a roughly 300-pound (150-kilogram) chunk, could rain down anywhere in latitude between northern Canada and the tip of South America. NASA can't be more precise than that right now because there's no way to control the satellite's descent.

That makes the situation sound a bit scarier than it really is: Because our planet has so many empty expanses of land and sea, NASA's orbital debris experts say there's just a 1-in-3,200 chance that any of the debris will hit anybody. That translates to a 1-in-21 trillion chance that any one particular person (you, for instance) would be struck. As it gets closer to re-entry time, NASA expects that the predictions for the debris zone will get more precise.

For updates, check NASA's UARS status page and back to this post / blog. Today's story focuses on how prepared the Federal Emergency Management Agency is in case the satellite re-enters over U.S. territory. Feel free to discuss the satellite's imminent fall in the comment section below — but whatever you do, DON'T PANIC!

Video of a pass of UARS satellite 8/9 days before atmospheric reentry, at an altitude of only 250km, taken from the ground with a 14" telescope.
